Placement expectations
- Provide accurate listing information and keep it current
- Disclose health and documentation honestly, including what is not available
- Screen buyers appropriately for the animal being placed
- Use written placement agreements where you offer them, and describe them accurately
- State return or rehoming policies clearly where you use them
- Follow responsible rehoming practices and avoid rushed placements
- Never use coercive, misleading, or high-pressure sales behavior
- Respect applicable local, state, and federal law for breeding, sales, transport, and placement
